DELL VENUE 8 T02D FACTORY FIRMWARE RESTORE

Have a Dell Venue 8? This version has the Android operating system, not the Windows 8 version

If you have managed to get a passcode screen you forgot the passcode to, here is how to restore it.

Turn off the tablet
Holding down the Volume Down button, press and hold the Power button
When the Dell logo appears, release the Power button
Wait for a moment, when the screen reappears, you will see the droidboot screen
Use the Volume Up button to highlight RECOVERY
Press the Power button to select it
Wait for a moment, when the screen changes you will see the Dell logo and then an android on its back
Press the Power button, quickly followed with the Volume Up button
You should now see Android System Recovery
Use the Volume Down button to select Wipe data/ Factory Reset and then press the Power button to choose it
Use the Volume Down button to select Yes -- delete all user data
Sit back and let the Dell reboot and load its factory data.
If you have issues, and the Dell becomes unresponsive, you may have to download the .zip file onto your computer, and place it on a micro SD card that you will have to insert into the Dell and select from the same Android System Recovery screen.
